Karthick | Writes.

Hey, I’m Karthick. Born in Madurai, raised on home food, old songs, and way too many movies for my own good.

I started this blog because, frankly, my head’s busy enough without adding a dozen more WhatsApp voice notes or group rants. So I figured—why not write what I actually think, and see who shows up?

So, why this space?

Because sometimes ideas need a place to stretch their legs.
Because there are questions you can’t Google, only wander into.
Because it’s fun to work stuff out in public, mess and all.

Call this a window into my head, my cinema-soaked weekends, my failures in code and cooking, my “aha!” moments about how the world works—or doesn’t work.

What you’ll find here

  • Honest thoughts about life, work, and the moments in between
  • Notes on films—yes, I like Tamil movies, but give me Iranian, Korean, French, or old Hollywood and I’m hooked
  • Big ideas, small joys, mistakes I keep repeating, books I never finish
  • Lessons from Madurai bus stops to global Zoom calls
  • The stuff we’re all stumbling through, but usually too shy to admit

The vibe

You won’t find resume lines or guru advice here.
Mostly, it’s one guy sharing what he’s figured out, still figuring out, and sometimes failing at— hoping you’ll nod, laugh, or roll your eyes in solidarity.

If you like world cinema, good music, stories that wander, and a fair mix of Tamil memories and global curiosity—you’ll probably feel right at home.

Thanks for reading. Drop a comment or an email if you feel like talking or ranting. After all, journeys are better when you share the ride.
